Apologies to all those who've had trouble with mail and web tonight - we had an unplanned outage due to a problem with one of the disks. Fortunately nothing needs replacing just yet, but it's yet another example of why we're moving to ServerMatrix. Further details of what users need to do to ensure a smooth move will be forthcoming shortly. At present we're putting together a migration plan while configuring the new box (it's so fast! Oh, you're going to love it) and doing our best to ensure you have to do as little as possible to feel the benefit.
After a trip down to Fulham, Butter came back up (on mostly new hardware) at about 11am today. No data loss, as far as we can see - if anything feels wrong to you, please let us know.
Also, the first of our new ServerMatrix servers should be operational at some point today. The new servers should mean much greater reliability and no more time off work needed to do hardware repairs. We're putting together a migration plan and will let you all know when we have a date for the move.
Richard's currently working on it. More news as we get it.
UPDATE: The machine isn't responding to remote reboot attempts so we need to get down to Mailbox Fulham - the latest this will happen is Monday morning, sooner if Mailbox let us in sometime on Sunday. In the meantime, these to things are happening:
